Licenses and Insurance
Tournament Participation and License Requirements
- Adults playing in the H11 category of men's and women's SM tournaments must obtain an SM license (includes Hockey5 SM license).
- Adults playing in the H5 category of men's and women's SM tournaments must obtain the Hockey5 SM license (NEW!).
- Players under 21 years old can obtain either a youth or junior license, depending on their age.
- Other License Options:
- Recreational license
- Junior license
- One-day license (for a single tournament or match)
- All officials must obtain an officials' license.
License Period and Options
- License period: April 1 – March 31
- You can choose a license for:
- The entire season
- Summer or winter season separately (Winter season starts October 1, if you choose separate summer and winter licenses.)
By obtaining a license, the player or official agrees to comply with the association’s competition and disciplinary regulations.
Insurance
- A Pohjola Sporttiturva insurance can be purchased along with the license.
- If a player does not purchase insurance through the association, they must have equivalent insurance from another provider.
- For players under 21 years old, the insurance provided by the association is mandatory for youth and junior licenses.
- Insurance is purchased for the entire season but can be canceled at any time, with the remaining portion refunded.
