Responsibility program

The Finnish Hockey Federation strives to promote responsible sports and physical activity in all its activities. The activities of the Finnish Hockey Association are based on the ethical values of physical activity and the principles of the Fair Game of Sport, which include respect for and equal treatment of other people, honesty, openness, fairness, democracy, promotion of health and well-being, responsible education, and sustainable development and respect for nature.

The Federation's competitive activities are governed by the ideals and goals and ethical values of the Sport Fair Game adopted by the Olympic Committee in 2018. All persons participating in the Federation's competitive activities undertake to adhere to these ideals and goals for their part.

To support the activities, the Federation has drawn up an equality plan, an environmental responsibility plan, an anti-doping programme and a programme to combat competition manipulation.

The key objective of the Hockey Association's equality plan is to identify discriminatory operating models and practices and to find ways to improve the equality of operations.

The Anti-Doping Program

Anti-doping programs aim to support fair sport by promoting respect for rules and co-competitors, fair competition, fair competition and the value of clean sport. In addition, the anti-doping program aims to protect the health of athletes and provide them with the opportunity to pursue outstanding performance without the use of prohibited substances and methods.

The Finnish Hockey Federation undertakes to comply with the national and international anti-doping regulations in force from time to time.

From the Purely Best online training run by the Finnish Sports Ethical Centre, athletes, sports support personnel as well as all other sports actors can learn and verify their knowledge of anti-doping issues. The Finnish Hockey Federation recommends that everyone involved in the sport undergo online training.

Environmental Liability Program

The Finnish Hockey Federation wants to take responsibility for the environment and strives to take sustainability into account in all its activities. The aim is that the hobby of the sport does not cause extra harm to the environment. The aim of the Finnish Hockey Association's environmental responsibility plan is to reduce the environmental impact of the sport and increase the members' awareness of the environment.

Rules and disciplinary regulations

The Federation's competitive activities and activities outside of it are guided by the competition rules as well as the Federation's disciplinary regulations. Competition activities are supervised by the Federation's Competition Committee and non-competition activities by the Federation's Disciplinary Committee.
